Cherwell offers a range of courses that can be specifically designed for those students who are thinking of coming to study at a boarding school or university in the UK, or for students who simply want a taste of British teaching and culture.
Courses include an English language programme that has been tailored to the needs of the group, and there is ample provision for those who might like to learn more about life in a boarding school or university, or even to have further private tuition.
Outside of the classroom, there will be a chance to taste international cuisine, to engage in sporting, cultural and social activities, and to participate in excursions around the UK.
Cherwell Education welcomes both parents and children to join our discovery tour of England. Our package includes the chance to explore some of the most beautiful parts of the country such as London, Stratford-Upon-Avon and Oxfordshire. Each day is carefully planned with culture, sightseeing, and hands-on activities for children, to ensure that both parents and children are equally delighted by what is on offer.
During the visit, children can experience English education and culture at Windrush Valley School, our prep school in Oxfordshire. An English teacher will lead some activities with the children, providing students with the opportunity to experience a day-in-the-life of an English student, whilst interacting with local children. Time can also be spent exploring the school’s forest school and participating in a variety of STEAM activities.

Stowe is a unique, historical school in a beautiful countryside setting, first opening in 1923. The grounds include a palace, lakes and a golf course set within 750 acres of landscaped gardens. Students at our Stowe School programme live, eat and study in the exceptional surroundings of Stowe School, one of the UK’s finest boarding schools.
On a tour of the city led by local experts, students will learn about the history of all the city centre colleges and other land-marks, including Christ Church College, the Sheldonian Theatre, the Bodleian Library, and much more. Students can also find out about the history of the university and the admissions process.
During our excursion to London, students take part in a walking tour that includes famous locations in central London, such as Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, Trafalgar Square and 10 Downing Street. They have the possibility to explore London's museums, landmarks, attractions, shopping districts and...even ride The Underground!
Students will spend a day visiting Stratford Upon Avon, Shakespeare’s birthplace. They have a chance to time travel to Tudor times and visit Shakespeare’s old school, King Edward VI, as well as his real-life classroom.
