Sister School Partnerships are long-term agreements between two schools, sometimes known as twin schools, consisting of immersive student exchanges, pedagogy exchanges, participation in joint projects and curriculum enrichment. This initiative includes bilateral student exchanges and participation in joint projects with schools around the world. It is an opportunity for schools to host international students and embark on a life-changing school trip to another country. The development and successful implementation of sister school partnerships is an excellent mechanism for building intercultural understanding and a sense of global citizenship in students and school staff.
We find a suitable sister school and initiate the contact with the school. We organise the trips to and from your school with detailed itineraries – flights, accommodation, sightseeing and transport. We support you with continued and regular communications and translations. We support and encourage joint projects between the schools. We provide project examples for your schools to take part in together. We have templates, resources and presentations that you can use for promoting and explaining the programmes.
To set up a partnership, members from your school leadership team visit their future sister school to secure the partnership and to discuss future plans.
It is time to plan a bespoke trip to your Sister School. Travel, accommodation, activities, sightseeing, gifts, visas, all need to be organised well in advance.
Students from both schools can then embark on trips to visit their international partners. Students take part in a special in-school itinerary that encourages participation and integration.
After the exchanges, schools should continue to have regular communication with their sister school and take turns to plan and host joint projects.
