Our Seasonal School Programme is a comprehensive holiday provision programme, enabling schools to maximise the use of their premises. Designed by expert Cherwell teachers, the package comes complete with all the resources needed to host week-long Winter, Spring and Summer Schools.
Our Discovery sessions build on students' curiosity of the world around them. Based on a seasonal theme, students will take part in hands-on practical activities, designed to be creative whilst thought provoking.
Students complete an Activity Book containing inspiring activities specifically designed for our seasonal schools.
Our lively GO Active! sessions will keep students moving during the holidays with a variety of fun sporting activities.
Our sessions will challenge students to beat their high scores, hold a pose in winter yoga or choreograph a dance. Every day features a new venture with a Winter, Spring or Summer twist!
A daily S.T.E.A.M. challenge? You got it! Our S-Team sessions involve stages in design, collaboration, construction, evaluation and reflection.
Challenges incorporate a range of outdoor learning, teamwork and engagement with real-world problems. Expect some wonderful seasonal creations!
Golden Time is a chance for students to take part in a fun activity including making ice cream in a bag (yes, it is possible!), winning the house quiz, cooking, crafting, playing - it's all in an afternoon's work!
At the end of each week, students celebrate the season by preparing food for a Christmas, Easter or Summer party. With traditional games and dancing - we'll finish in style!
Our Stage Stars sessions provides a full day of performing arts with the opportunity to participate in a wide range of drama games and activities.
Leigh Wolmarans is the Artistic Director of Silhouette Youth Theatre. He has worked with the Royal Shakespeare Company and has over 25 years experience. His expert team will hold sessions in voice coaching, song writing, drama and dance.
Our plans begin with a number of introductory starter activities. Main activities are differentiated (or changed) to account for the full age range of the primary classroom.
Other features include:
Creative Presentations with exciting themes and engaging activities.
Each daily lesson has a themed PowerPoint presentation with class rules, agendas, starters, videos, discussions, questions, quizzes, challenges, ideas and guidance on how to complete activities.
We even give suggestions for indoor and outdoor playtime!
Each student will receive their own club activity book with tasks to complete and take home!
Subjects are interconnected through one central theme to deliver a curriculum that supports and reinforces learning across subject areas. Students consider, design and reflect on their thinking.
